Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal information is handled on purecontext.online (Pure Context). The organisation responsible for that information is MARIN stav s.r.o., Čimelická 957/1, Lhotka, 142 00 Praha 4, Czech Republic, company registration 28181221, VAT number CZ28181221, contactable at info@purecontext.online.
MARIN stav s.r.o. handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Below, each principle is taken in turn and explained as it applies to this site.
This policy covers purecontext.online only. When you follow a link to another website, including the World of Tanks website reached through our affiliate links, that website's own privacy policy applies.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
This page is our policy. It is linked from the footer of every page, is written to be read in a few minutes, and describes everything this site collects. If you would like it in another format, email us and we will help.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can read every page of this site without identifying yourself. If you email us, you may use a pseudonym or an address that does not reveal your name. The only exception is a request to access or correct personal information, where we need enough detail to be sure we are dealing with the right person.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
We collect personal information in two ways only.
Server access logs. Our hosting provider records a standard log entry each time a page or file on this site is requested. Each entry contains the IP address of the device making the request, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string (a short description of your browser and operating system). We use these logs for security, to prevent abuse and to diagnose faults.
Emails you send us. If you write to info@purecontext.online, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, the content of your message and any attachments. We use this only to reply to you.
Nothing else is collected. The site has no forms, no accounts, no progress tracking and no saved checklists. It sets no cookies and uses no web fonts, analytics, advertising tags, profiling or cross-site tracking. Every page loads only files from purecontext.online itself; the site requests nothing from any other server.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Sometimes people include information in an email that we do not need in order to reply, such as identity documents or details about other people. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, we delete such information once we have identified that we do not need it.
APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information
This policy is our notice of collection. It sets out who we are, what we collect, why, who receives it and how to contact us. Because the site collects nothing beyond logs and emails, there are no separate collection notices elsewhere on the site.
APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information
We use log data only for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis, and email content only to reply to you. We never sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. We disclose personal information to a government authority only when the law requires us to.
The only organisations that handle personal information on our behalf are our hosting provider, which stores the access logs, and our email service provider, which stores the mailbox for info@purecontext.online.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
We do not carry out direct marketing. There is no mailing list or newsletter, and we do not send course reminders. If you email us, we will not add your address to any list or contact you about anything other than your message.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information
MARIN stav s.r.o. is based in the Czech Republic, so information you send us is handled from outside Australia. In addition, our hosting provider and our email service provider may store or process data outside Australia; we do not specify their locations in this policy. We choose providers that state they protect the data they hold, and we disclose to them only what is needed for them to provide their service.
APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers
This site does not adopt, use or disclose any government-related identifiers, such as tax file numbers or Medicare numbers. Please do not send them to us.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
We keep only the information described above. If something we hold about you is inaccurate, such as the email address we use to reply, tell us and we will correct it.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
All pages are served over HTTPS, which encrypts traffic between your browser and the site. The site has no database and stores no submissions, because it accepts none. Access to the hosting account and to the mailbox is limited to people working for MARIN stav s.r.o.
Access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Emails are kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation and then deleted, unless we need to keep a particular message for a legal claim.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you. Email info@purecontext.online with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Asking costs nothing, and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by replying to the address you originally wrote from.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
You can ask us to correct personal information we hold about you in the same way, with "Privacy request" in the subject line. There is no charge, and we will reply within 30 days. If we decide not to make a correction, we will explain why.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain paid affiliate links to the World of Tanks website. When you follow one, you leave purecontext.online. World of Tanks and the affiliate network that operates the link may use cookies or similar technology on their own websites to record that you arrived through our link, under their own privacy policies. MARIN stav s.r.o. receives commission reports from that arrangement and uses them only to reconcile payments. We do not seek, and do not want, information that identifies individual readers.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email info@purecontext.online first. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
Data breaches
If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or loss of, personal information we hold, we will assess it promptly. Where the breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is not directed at people under 16, and we collect nothing designed to identify them. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, let us know and we will delete it.
Readers in the European Union, the EEA and the United Kingdom
Because MARIN stav s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, the EU General Data Protection Regulation also applies to our handling of personal information. The legal basis for server access logs is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working. The legal basis for handling emails is responding to your enquiry at your request. We do not rely on consent, because the site sets no cookies and does nothing that would require it.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us with "Privacy request" in the subject line. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
When we revise this policy, we update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we also add a short note at the top of the page describing it, and leave that note in place for 30 days.
